The furry fellas played a belting set at Ibiza Rocks with Sony Ericsson in San Rafael’s Hippodrome last night. The Wombats at Ibiza Rocks with Sony Ericsson The Wombats whizzed into Ibiza this week for a slot on the island’s hottest stage and - despite being sunburnt to a crisp within hours of arriving - Liverpool’s current punk pop sensations did not disappoint. Straight from the off, the crowd were drenched in a syrupy solution of sunshine, super charged sounds and stratosphere-scraping vibes and transformed into a bobbing sea of blissed out smiling faces. ‘Moving To New York’, ‘Kill The Director’ and ‘Let’s Dance to Joy Division’ all prompted glorious mass singalongs, set to be one of the all time highlights of the sunkissed Ibizian summer of 2008.
